• Bamboo is one of the fastest-growing plants on Earth, with some species capable of growing up to 91 cm (3 feet) in a single day (FAO - Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations).
• It is a grass, not a tree, and when harvested, it is cut rather than uprooted. This allows it to regenerate naturally from its root system without needing replanting.
• Due to its rapid growth, a bamboo forest can absorb up to 35% more carbon dioxide (CO2) and release more oxygen (O2) than an equivalent stand of trees (World Resources Institute).

• Bamboo typically requires no fertilizers or pesticides to thrive. It possesses a natural antimicrobial agent called "bamboo kun" which helps it resist pest infestation and disease.
• It primarily relies on natural rainfall, requiring little to no irrigation. In contrast, conventional cotton is infamous for its water consumption, requiring approximately 5,000 to 10,000 liters of water to produce 1 kg of raw cotton (World Wildlife Fund).

• The extensive root system of bamboo helps to bind soil tightly, preventing erosion and retaining water on slopes and riverbanks.
• Since it does not require replanting, it protects the soil structure and health for decades.

• 100% bamboo fiber (from any process) is biodegradable and compostable under the right conditions in soil or commercial composting facilities.
• This is a significant advantage over synthetic fibers like polyester, which can shed microplastics and persist in the environment for hundreds of years
